I am being charged a Felony. What happens now?

Arizona law recognizes six classes of Felonies. The punishment for a person with no prior felony convictions are:

  • Class 1 (most serious) – Minimum punishment of 25 years to life in prison, Maximum is the Death Penalty.
  • Class 2 – Maximum punishment of 12.5 years in prison, 7 years supervised probation, and $150,000 in fines.
  • Class 3 – Maximum punishment of 8.75 years in prison, 5 years supervised probation, and $150,000 in fines.
  • Class 4 – Maximum punishment of 3.75 years in prison, 4 years supervised probation, and $150,000 in fines.
  • Class 5 – Maximum punishment of 2.5 years in prison, 3 years supervised probation, and $150,000 in fines.
  • Class 6 – Maximum punishment of 2 years in prison, 3 years supervised probation, and $150,000 in fines.
